Zhengzhou University of Industrial Technology，located in a famous historical city Xinzheng and Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone(Zhengzhou Xinzhen Comprehensive Bonded Zone)—a pioneering airport economic development zone in China, is a private engineering-oriented university, sponsored by Hope shine, an integrated trade group with education, medical treatment, medicine, real estate, and hotel. Its predecessor was Zhengzhou Huaxin Training College, which was founded in 1997. In 2001, it was renamed as Zhengzhou Huaxin Vocational and Technical College, which implemented three-year academic college education. In 2008, it was upgraded to undergraduate college and renamed as Zhengzhou Huaxin College. In 2012, it was entitled to confer bachelor degree. In 2014, it was renamed as Zhengzhou University of Industrial Technology.
Since 2016, Zhengzhou University of Industrial Technology offering Engineering in China Partial Scholarships for international students in differing engineering program. Foreign students from Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Africans e.g Zambia, Zimbabwe & different nationalities are studying there. ZZUIT providing furnished hostel living with extra secure environment especially for female students. The university consists of 9 schools, i.e. School of Electromechanic Engineering, School of Architecture Engineering, School of Information Engineering, School of Management, School of Business, School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, School of Arts, School of Foreign Languages. It sets up 32 undergraduate majors, including 13 engineering majors, accounting for 40.62% of the total number of undergraduate majors. At present it has an enrollment of 2,2484 full-time students. It initially forms the engineering oriented professional layout, coordinated with medicine, management, economics, art, and literature.
Ever since its foundation, Zhengzhou University of Industrial Technology sticks to the educational principles of socialist characteristics and public welfare. Since its upgrading to undergraduate college in 2008, according to the undergraduate teaching evaluation criteria, we optimize the corporate governance structure, enhance the investment in teaching, strengthen the construction of teaching staff, deepen the reform on educational mode, and standardize teaching management. Consequently, the level and quality of education has been significantly increased. With continuous investment, ZZUIT optimizes educational facilities. It is composed of 2 campuses, with a total area of 326 acres. The building area is 642000 ㎡. The indoor and outdoor sports area is 1142000 ㎡. The total investment is 1.837 billion yuan. It is equipped with swimming pool, gymnasium, comprehensive sports center, academic exchanges center, student affairs comprehensive service center, students incubator etc. There are 35 experimental training centers (comprehensive laboratory) and 187 laboratories. The total value of teaching and research equipment is 136 million yuan. It holds 1.925 million books, 210000 electronic books, 15627 electronic journals, and 15 Chinese-foreign databases.
ZZUIT attaches great importance to the construction of teaching staff and vigorously implements the strategy of “strengthen school by talents”. Currently there are 1192 full-time employees, of whom 775 are full-time teachers, account 65% of the total number. The university has 104 teachers with senior professional titles and 176 with deputy titles, accounting 36.13%; it has 498 teachers with master’s or higher degree, accounting 64.26%. The construction and reforming on teaching improve the quality of education as well as its social influence. The university has been awarded Excellent Private Schools in Henan Province, Civilized School, Advanced Unit of Graduates Employment, Landscape School of the Province and other honorary titles.
