Kazakh-Russian Medical University has been successfully educating international students from various countries since 2016. In January 2024, the Department for Work with International Students was reorganized into the Medical International School. General Medicine (MD) Program Duration:
Kazakh-Russian Medical University offers a five-year General Medicine (MD) degree program, including clinical internship training in the final year.
Clinical Practice:
After completing the 6th semester of medical studies at Kazakh-Russian Medical University, students begin clinical training at the university’s affiliated hospitals, where they gain practical experience under the supervision of specialized doctors.
The university also engages international faculty members and medical experts from countries such as Pakistan, India, and Nepal to deliver medical lectures in English and support international students.
General Medicine (MD) Program Cost:
The total cost of the General Medicine (MD) program at Kazakh-Russian Medical University is USD 3,250 per semester. This fee includes tuition, hostel accommodation, and three meals per day (mess/food expenses). For Pakistani students, the fee is approximately PKR 9 lakh per semester. Travel expenses (airfare) are not included in the fee.
PM&DC Eligibility Criteria:
According to the rules and regulations of PM&DC, Pakistani students applying for the General Medicine (MD) Program in Kazakh-Russian Medical University must have a minimum of 60% in FSc/HSSC (Pre-Medical) and 50% Marks in the MDCAT Exam to be eligible to apply for the MBBS/MD in Kazakhstan.
⚠️ Warning!
Students who fail to meet the minimum eligibility requirements in FSc (Pre-Medical) or the MDCAT are ineligible to appear in the National Registration Examination (NRE) conducted by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) after graduation. Consequently, such graduates are not eligible to obtain medical registration and cannot legally practice medicine in Pakistan.
Admission Criteria:
International students applying for the General Medicine (MD) Program at Kazakh Russian Medical University, Kazakhstan, must follow the following Admission criteria.
- Students must have a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 bands to be eligible for admission.
- The age limit for applying is 16-25 years.
- Students must be healthy and fluent in English.
- Applicants must have a valid passport.
- Students must have a minimum score of 60% in their Senior High School/HSSC/A-Levels.
- Students must have 50% marks on the MDCAT Exam.
MBBS/MD Fee Structure of Kazakh Russian Medical University for Pakistani Students 2026-2027:
The complete first-semester fee package for the MD General Medicine program at Kazakh-Russian Medical University is USD 5,000 (approximately PKR 14 lakh), which includes tuition, hostel, Mess (food), Invitation letter, and admission facility.
From the second semester onwards, the fee is USD 3,250 per semester (approximately PKR 9 lakh), which includes tuition, hostel accommodation, and mess (food) facilities.

Important Points:
- Students will pay the First Semester Fee on arrival in USD.

Admission Process:
Kazakh Russian Medical University accepts foreign students for both September and February/March intakes every year.
