Jilin Medical University (JLMU), also known as Jilin Medical College (吉林医药学院), is a state-funded medical university located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, China. Founded in 1952, the university has a history rooted in military medical education and was transferred from military administration to Jilin Province in 2004.
Jilin Medical University is located in the beautiful northeastern Chinese city of Jilin, close to the Songhua River. Jilin is widely known as the “Capital of Rime Ice” because of its famous winter scenery and hoarfrost-covered trees. The university campus covers approximately 636,400 square meters, with around 285,100 square meters of building area.

Admission Criteria:
International Students interested in applying for the Medicine Degree program must fulfill the following requirements to apply to Jilin Medical University.
- Applicants must have a valid passport and be non-Chinese citizens.
- Students must have a minimum of 60% marks in Senior High School (Grade 12), WAEC/A-Levels/HSSC.
- The age limit to apply for MBBS is 18-25 years.
- Students must present a financial guarantee or bank statement of 6000 USD or equal Currency from their parents or guardians.
- Students must be fluent in English and in good health.
Clinical Medicine Cost 2026-2027:
Jilin Medical University offers the Clinical Medicine (MBBS) Program at the most affordable cost for international students. The Medicine Program fee for international students is 22,000 RMB per year ($3240), which covers both the cost of tuition and dormitory.
The annual fee cost for MBBS Fee for Pakistani Students is Approximately 09 Lakh PKR Per year, which includes tuition and hostel fee (double sharing room) Per year. The Medicine Program has Six years of Medical Education including the last year (6th year) of Clinical Internship.

HSK Exam Policy: Students will study Chinese language in the first year, After Passing HSK-4 students will be promoted to the Medicine Degree for five years which includes the final year of the internship.
