Guangzhou Medical University (GMU), formerly known as Guangzhou Medical College, founded in 1958, is a medical institution which offers a full range of programs at undergraduate and graduate levels. Guangzhou Medical University offering MBBS in English Medium for international students. The university has passed the assessment on MBBS program hosted by MOE of China and has been authorized to admit international students under Chinese government scholarship in 2013.

MBBS Degree:

The university offers Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Undergraduates who meet degree requirements receive a graduation certificate and a medical degree. Graduates can apply to take the medical licensing examination in order to practice medicine. Some countries may require students to complete academic accreditation first.

Course duration:

As per criteria established by MOE, China, course duration for MBBS in English medium is 6 years which includes one year internship in the affiliated hospitals of Guangzhou Medical college.

MBBS Tuition Fees:

MBBS (English Medium) Fee of Guangzhou Medical University is 36,000 RMB/Year ($5600/year) which includes tuition and hostel for one year. if we Calculate in Pakistani Rupee it is PKR 15 Lakh per year. 

Eligibility Criteria:

• Student must have Minimum 70% marks in HSSC/Senior High School.
• Student must be healthy and good in health.
• Age limit to apply in Guangzhou Medical University is 18-25 years.

Application Deadline:

Application Dates: Application opens in early April to the end of October every year. Application should submit all the documents required. It takes approximate 4 to 6 weeks after the application deadline to receive the notification of admission.

Special Notes:

1. Student will pay the Fee in Chinese Yuan on arrival otherwise hostel will not allot to the student.
2. Food Expenses, Air Ticket & Electricity Charges are not included in the fee package.
3. Pakistani Student will follow the rules and Regulations of PMC & Guangzhou Medical University.
4. Indian and Bangladeshi Students will follow the rules and regulations of NMC India and BMDC Respectively.

GMU founded in 1958, has two main campuses. The Yuexiu campus is located in the downtown Centre of Guangzhou City, near Liuhua Lake Park and Yuexiu Mountain.

Guangzhou Medical University proudly presents 21 schools: School of Basic Medical Sciences, School of Public Health, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Stomatology, School of Nursing, GMU-GIBH Joint School of Life Sciences, Nanshan School, School of Mental Health, School of Pediatrics, School of Health Management, School of Marxism, School of International Education, School of General Practice & Continuing Education, Kingmed College of Laboratory Medicine, Graduate School, First Clinical School, Second Clinical School, Third Clinical School, Fifth Clinical School, Sixth Clinical School, The Clinical School of Guangzhou First People’s Hospital.

The clinical medicine discipline of GMU is ranked top 1% in the world for ESI rankings (Essential Science Indicators).GMU boasts 1 state key discipline and 9 state key clinical specialties and numerous provincial disciplines and specialties. Among them, respiratory medicine ranks 1st and ranks 6th for thoracic surgery in China. GMU places great emphasis on attracting talented faculty from home and abroad to develop the University.
