Jinggangshan University (JGSU) 井冈山大学 founded in 1958, a state-run institution of higher education, is known for its comprehensive ordinary undergraduate education with a long history and glorious tradition. The school is located in Ji’an City, Jiangxi Province. The campus area is 2,458.7 acres, the school building area is 777,000 square meters, the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is more than 450 million yuan, and the library has more than 2.21 million books.

Jinggangshan University is recognized by WHO, PM&DC, WFME, FAIMER, and WCAME China. Graduated students from Jinggangshan University can apply for USMLE, UKMLA/PLAB, GMC, AMC, ECFMG, and other Medical licensing certifications. Clinical Medicine (MBBS) and Cost:
Jinggangshan University offers the Clinical Medicine (MBBS) Program for international students. The Cost of Medicine study at Jinggangshan University is 23,000 RMB/year ($3300) including Tuition and dormitory costs. The Clinical Medicine Program consists of Six years of Medicine Program which includes the first year of the Chinese language and five years of Clinical Medicine study which includes the last year of the Internship.
Teaching Medium:
Jinggangshan University is a Non-MOE Listed University, and the teaching Medium for Clinical Medicine (MBBS) is Chinese. It is Mandatory to Pass HSK-4 (Chinese Language test) in the first year to be promoted in the MBBS Program for five years and before getting the Medicine Degree, HSK-5 is compulsory.
International Students:
Jinggangshan University started accepting international students for the Medicine (MBBS) programs in 2012 and most students were from Pakistan and Africa. Currently, more than 200 international students from different countries are studying Clinical Medicine (MBBS). The international students are from Pakistan, Indonesia, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zambia, Lesotho, Liberia and others from Arabic countries like Sudan etc.

Admission Requirments:
International Students who want to apply for Medicine Study at Jinggangshan University, must have a minimum of 60% marks in Senior High School (Grade 12)/WAEC/A-Levels to apply for the Clinical Medicine (MBBS). The age limit to apply is 18-25. The teaching Medium is Bilingual (Chinese+English). IELTS and TOEFL are not required to apply to Jinggangshan University. The School issues the admission letter in a week and the visa letter (Jw202) in approximately 30-40 working Days.
HSK-Exam Policy:
Jinggangshan University offers a first-year Chinese language course and is mandatory to Pass HSK-4 in the first year. Only After Passing the Chinese language course of HSK-4, the Student will be promoted to a Clinical Medicine Degree for 05 years. Student needs to Pass the HSK-5 test before getting a Clinical Medicine (MBBS) Degree.

Jinggangshan University offers the lowest cost for the Medicine Program for international students in China. MBBS Fee is 23,000 RMB/Year ($3300) including the tuition and dormitory cost.
