Hubei University of Arts and Science (HBUAS) was founded in 1958 and is a provincial government full-time general undergraduate institution of higher learning located in Xiangyang City (the second-largest city in Hubei Province). Hubei University of Arts and Science (HBUAS) offers the most economical Clinical Medicine (MBBS) program with scholarships ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 RMB for international students.

1. The Clinical Medicine (MBBS) program offered by the Hubei University of Arts and Science is recognized by the WHO (World Health Organization) and listed in WDMOS and ECFMG.

HBUAS Fee Details, September 2026:

Hubei University of Arts and Science offers different programs for international students. The Chinese Language (non-degree) one-year Program’s cost is 7000 RMB. Bachelor’s degree programs, including the Clinical Medicine Program, have costs of 18,000 RMB each year ($3,200), while Master’s and PhD degrees cost 20,000 RMB and 23,000 RMB, respectively. The fee is payable annually.

Scholarships:

The Hubei University of Arts and Science (HBUAS) is providing various Scholarships for International Students pursuing a Bachelor’s in Medicine (MBBS). Provincial government scholarships are 15,000 RMB (for the top 5 students), while university scholarships are 800–2000 RMB.

Admission Requirements:

Hubei University of Arts and Science is accepting the Medicine Program (MBBS) applications for September and March intakes. International students wishing to study the Clinical Medicine Program at Hubei University of Arts and Science should follow the admissions criteria.

• Applicants must have a minimum score of 60% in their senior high school, HSSC, WAEC, or A-levels.
• The age requirement for the Medicine (MBBS) program is 16 to 25 years.
• Hubei University of Arts and Science does not require an entrance examination.
• Students must be fluent in English. IELTS or TOEFL is not required.
• The student must provide a financial guarantee or a bank statement at the Chinese embassy to apply for the visa.
• Applicants from non-English countries must provide the translation of documents into English/Chinese.

The Clinical Medicine MBBS Program at Hubei University of Arts and Science consists of a six-year curriculum, five years of medical education, and a sixth year of clinical internship. The annual cost of the Clinical Medicine (MBBS) at Hubei University of Arts and Science is 21,000 RMB ($2920), which covers tuition and accommodation charges.
