Yangzhou University, founded in 1902, was established in Jiangsu Province with the cooperation of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government and the Ministry of Education of China.

Yangzhou University is accredited by the WHO (World Health Organization), WDOMS, WFME, and ECFMG. Foreign graduates who have finished their medical education and possess a Clinical Medicine (MBBS) degree are eligible to apply for the USMLE, PLAB, GMC, AMC, SMLE, and DHA.

There are no HSK-4 criteria for passing in the first year since the MBBS program in English has been approved by the Ministry of Education in China, and the school will clearly state “MBBS English Taught” on the admission letter.

Clinical Medicine (MBBS) Program and Cost 2026:

Yangzhou University offers the Six-Year Medicine (MBBS) Program in English, comprising five years of medical study and a sixth year of clinical internship. The annual cost of the Medicine (MBBS) Program is 36,000 RMB ($5,200), including both tuition and accommodation. This price does not include airfares or food expenses.

Note: The cost of hostel accommodations ranges from 6,000 RMB to 12,000 RMB a year, depending on the rooms and dorms selected. The student must reserve their preferred dorm in advance.

Admission Requirements:

International students interested in studying Medicine at Yangzhou University must meet the following entry requirements.

• The CSCA Exam is mandatory to apply (math is a compulsory subject).
• An IELTS score of 5.0 is required at a minimum.
• Applicants must have a 12-month valid passport and be non-Chinese citizens.
• The applicant must have a minimum of 70% marks in their senior high school/HSSC/WAEC/or A-levels.
• The age requirement for the MBBS program is 18-25 years.
• Yangzhou University does not require an entrance examination.
• The student must provide a financial guarantee or bank statement with a minimum account balance of $5000.

Yangzhou University is one of the top MOE-listed universities, offering an MBBS program in English. The annual cost for the MBBS program (English medium) at Yangzhou University is 36,000 RMB (16 Lakh PKR) for Pakistani students. This cost does not include the travel or food expenses.
