Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is located in Hangzhou, a key university in Zhejiang Province. It is a University jointly built by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Bureau of Education.
The Zhejiang Chinese Medical School was founded in June 1953 and is a government University. The school covers an area of 1000 mu, with a total construction area of more than 470000 square meters.

Scholarship in ZCMU:
To encourage more foreign students to Study Medicine at Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The School provides Scholarships in many categories that are determined by the student’s academic achievements. Presidential Scholarship is 15,000 RMB-20,000 RMB given to excellent students at the end of the academic year.
Zhejiang Chinese Medical University has three types of Scholarships for international students.

Currently, Zhejiang Chinese Medical University is offering tuition-free scholarships (only for the first year) in the Programs of Pharmacy and Nursing. Clinical Medicine (MBBS) Program:
Zhejiang Chinese Medical University is currently offering a 6-year Clinical Medicine (MBBS) Program for international students. The First year will be allocated entirely to the study of the Chinese language (Mandarin). Once the student passes HSK-4 in the first year, only after that student is promoted to the Medicine Program for five years including the Clinical Internship.
Fees Schedule 2025-2026:
The Clinical Medicine MBBS Fee of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University is 24,250 RMB/Year ($3500/year) including tuition and a Dormitory (four-person sharing rooms). The annual fee for a double shared accommodation will be 31,000 RMB ($4400) for the student. The Clinical Medicine MBBS fee for Pakistani Students is 10 Lakh PKR Per year (four people in one room), which is a little higher as compared to other medical universities in China.
Admission Requirements:
International applicants who are applying for the Bachelor degree of Clinical Medicine (MBBS), Pharmacy, or Nursing Programs at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University must fulfill the following Admission Criteria.
- Applicants need to pay the 600 RMB (non-refundable) as a registration Fee.
- Students must have a minimum of 60% marks in Senior High School/HSSC/A-Levels/Grade 12.
- The Age limit to apply for a Bachelor’s degree program is 18-30 years.
- A non-Criminal Report and Physical examination certificate are also required to apply.
- Students must be fluent in English Language.
- IELTS or TOEFL are not required to apply to Zhejiang Chinese Medical University.
